BeautyCon LA this year was amazing! The entire place was PACKED full of bloggers, vbloggers (short for videobloggers), YouTube stars, and adorable tweens and teens. The entire day really inspired me to post more beauty tutorials and videos. I have so many tips and tricks that I really should be sharing on this blog. I’ll try my best to post at least one new video a week and hopefully as time goes on I will get faster at editing these videos.
The best part of the entire day was seeing young fans come up to fellow blogger and blogger Roxy Limon to take a photo with her. It always amazes me how many young girls we can inspire through our blogs and videos. The second best part was meeting one of my favorite bloggers Aimee Song of the blog Song of Style. I’ve been following her blog for years and what I love about her is that she somehow manages to work a full-time job as an interior designer and blog. I asked her how she does it and she told me she doesn’t sleep. I hear you Aimee, there is no time for sleeping when you are working to make your dreams come true!
Exited to share my first beauty tutorial with you all tomorrow on my YouTube Channel!

You’ve seen my sneak peeks on Instagram, you’ve heard me talk about it on the blog, now you get to see it on YouTube! Welcome to my very first closet tour with Kier. She asked me all about my favorite shoes, heirloom items, and anything I regret buying. Welcome to my closet, my little slice of heaven. Hope you enjoy the video!
I’ll be posting my first beauty tutorial this Thursday on my YouTube Channel. I am so excited!! Check back on Wednesday to see my photos from Saturday’s BeautyCon event!
Pin your long necklaces up on a cork board with colored tacks.
I use large metal letter dividers to keep my clutches up right and organized.
Display your favorite jewelry pieces on pretty glass dishes. Brian is quite the artist- he made the little wire saxophone.
I use black velvet hangers for all of my clothes. They keep everything neat and clothes do not slip off of them.
Storing my shoes with one facing forward and one backwards actually allows for more shoes to fit on the shelves.
My grandmother brought me this pink rug from Iran when I was a little girl. Thank you for reading! Let us know what you think of the video in the comments below!
What a relief, the weekend is here. But it is bittersweet. Sunday my boyfriend leaves for Africa for 3 weeks. Thankfully I’ll be busy with my best friend’s wedding in Minnesota and New York Fashion Week for a few of those days. But overall I am going to miss him a lot. He’s been getting really good at photography lately with his new camera. It will be fun to see the photos he comes home with. Until then, I just need to stay busy. So get ready for lots of blog posts and YouTube videos coming your way!
Some great news- the girls and I have officially booked our flights and hotels for New York Fashion Week! Literally 3 weeks until I fly out and I already want to start packing some of the outfits I have put together. I have decided that if there is one thing I should do while in NYC for the 5th time it is visit Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment building and take outfit photos outside in my favorite tulle skirt. Sex and the City is my favorite TV show- I have watched all of the episodes from start to finish 3 times already and am on my 4th.
This is the perfect outfit for a wedding rehearsal dinner or bridal shower. The neutral tones and delicate accessories are pretty without being over done. I may try to replicate this pearl and crystal detailing on another top of mine.
I am very proud of these photos and I will tell you why- I took them myself. Yes, I mean I literally set up my tripod and my camera, held a remote and took 100 pictures to get these 7 in focus and in a frame I like . It is not easy, but it gets easier over time. Sometimes you just cannot find a photographer and the outfit, lighting, and background are too good to miss. This is why I always carry my tripod and camera in my car, so that if inspiration hits- I am ready You can see other photos I have taken myself HERE, HERE, and HERE.
