Today I turn 24! I feel so young but want time to slow down so that I can do everything in life that I want to. Since birthdays only come once a year, I like to spend the entire week celebrating. Tonight dinner with the family, tomorrow dinner with Brian, Saturday birthday party with all my friends! Thank you so much for all of the birthday wishes!

Remember this dress? I bought it for myself for my birthday last month because it kept selling out everywhere. I had a chance to wear it already to the OC Fashion Showcase. I am pulling a Kate and re-wearing it with different accessories and heels. I also plan to wear it during NYFW in September!

I received this beautiful Aldo earrings for my birthday.

My favorite cake: homemade chocolate with vanilla frosting and M&Ms! Tomorrow I will post some of my fabulous birthday presents!

How beautiful is this dress?! My most recent find at H&M. It is so perfect for all seasons and work! I love lace and royal blue is one of my favorite colors. I always wear a belt with a sheath dress, otherwise the dress can look like a box and not have a shape. The nail polish was picked out specifically to coordinate with the clutch. When else would I wear a candy apple nail color?

Even with a vibrant colored dress, is is still possible to add pops of other colors like I did here with the yellow shoes, nail-polish, multi-colored bracelet and clutch. Just make sure that the outfit stays balanced by having one item (here the dress) be the main color point with colorful accessories.
