A Weekend in Rancho Mirage

After the craziness that was New York Fashion Week and trying to get caught up on life when I returned, I was glad Brian made me unplug and unwind with a weekend in Rancho Mirage (which is a neighbor city to Palm Springs, CA.) We had a lovely villa to ourselves with the pool right outside our balcony where I got to lay in the sun and reminece about all the things I have gotten to do since starting this blog and I am so thankful for each and every opportunity.

Our trip would not be complete for me without some shopping. Brian was nice enough to let me run through Target on our way to RM where I picked up this lovely aztec printed scarf. I know, I don’t need a scarf for the desert, but it actually came in handy walking through the freezing hotel lobby after swimming! I consider it one of my souveneris from our trip along wiht some fabulous booties I’ll show you in teh next post.

Each of the jewelry pieces I am wearing were a gift from Brian and each one has a special significance. The earrings were handmade in Zambia that he brough back after backpacking there this summer.

The bracelet was a present for our 3 year anniversary. It will be 4 years this November. OMG!

The necklace was a gift when he visited me in Australia. It was the first piece of jewelry he ever gave me and I love it. The green glass bead is a charm he picked up in Italy. It is made of Murano glass.
